You may be right - sadly natural births are nearing an extinction because of the patheticness of the individuals & the naivety thay have among other reasons - this may wreak('s) havock on the experience as well as being " present " during the " delivery " was of importance - I said was because clearly now this is not the case - the messed up docs & nurses are also to blame.

What happened to cloning of babies? As far as I'm aware nobody even tried it since it's unethical to do just for the sake of trying. Besides, the technology has been in existence for just a few years.P.S. What the hell is god's boundaries supposed to mean?

Agreed. I read articles about women who have c-sections because they want to have a baby on a specific date...that's just wrong.

It'll be like "Brave New World" where giving birth is unnatural... I am having a natural birth, that's for sure.

I'm absolutely sure no people will be delivering babies in about 200 years. They will be grown in lab conditions, but with technology to aid the bonding, learning and all the emotional stuff that normally happens before birth. But women just won't want to go through this thing, and in time the ability to give birth naturally or conceive will be lost altogether. In 400 years time, people will be prohibited to reproduce, with communities deciding what type of children should be manufactured.

I agree with Kady. I've had 3 natural births. Babies need to pass the birth canal for their chest to be depressed & flex again for the baby's lungs to fill with air and start breathing - naturally. If our bodies can CREATE a baby, then let the natural process of delivery happen.Besides, the recovery period is almost instant. Within half an hour of the birth of my babies.I have nothing against Cesarean sections, provided there's a medical reason for it - not for the convenience!Peace.

I am a nurse. I highly reccommend natural child birth. C-Sections may seem like the easy way out but it is an intrusive procedure that presents great risks to the mother and child as far as infection goes. Natural childbirth is not as bad as people believe it to be and has many great benefits that c-sections deprive you of! Yes, it is necessary to have a c-section in some cases but when given a choice...choose natural childbirth! You won't regret it!

I had my baby girl at 16 (no need to judge!!) and it wasn't THAT bad! I honestly dont envy my mom for having 2 go through a c-section when i was born!

Doesn't the doctor have to go through 7 layers to get to the baby, not just the two incisions they mention here? I think it's important that women understand that this is major abdominal surgery and don't push themselves too hard immediately post op and during the early postnatal period. Any woman that goes through pregnancy and childbirth is amazing.

Look, there are circumstances where this procedure is necessary, I have not made such a statement. If you think this is a better method than natural, vaginal delivery you are sadly mistaken. As I commented previously, I have had both normal and surgery. For mothers who choose surgery over the natural process, you have your priorities misconstrued, for you and your baby. As well for the Ob/Gyn who wants more money and schedule the surgery to his/her convenience you should not be practicing peace
