Céline is the first to have song it, if that's what you want to know. It's not a cover or an old french song. She's the original interpreter of this song, it had never been song before she made it a hit and one of my all time favorite of hers. At home, it's definitely one of the most beloved song of her repertoire, a Céline classic! :D

thanks louise. was the song written around the time of that album, or is it an old french song? there is such beauty about the french language, in that if the song was sung in english, or spanish, its not going to come across as well.

"L'amour existe encore"(Love Still Exists) was wrtten by Luc Plamondon and the music by Richard Cocciante. It's on Céline's 1991 French cd "Dion chante Plamondon" and it's a favorite of her french repertoire. She also recorded a Spanish version of this song called "Aun existe amor" in 2002.
