Hugo really didnt do much when playing for Mexico especially in the world cups...but 2010 would be Vela's First lets see how he does..he already has a U17 World Cup Peru under his belt..and winning the player with most goals at the U17 World Cup and beating Brazil who are always the favorites....Hugo only did great with his clubs but internationally wasnt a big time player...

If Vela ever becomes 1/2 of H. Sanchez he will be the best striker in Europe. The only strikers better than H. Sanchez was Pele & possibly G. Muller. Vela has lots of flair and is very explosive, good physique too. Hope he develops into a great player, or at leas 20 goals a season hehe :)Yes, Hugo is the best striker/foreign player to ever play in Spain. Even Ronaldo when he was super amazing fenomeno only scored 34 goals. Hugo's record is impossible to beat.
