The majority of Americans need to become aware of their ignorance and do something about becoming tolerable towards different backgrounds. Throughout the history of the U.S., every new wave of immigrants have been severely discriminated against. These include but not limited to: Africans, Irish, Chinese, Jews, Italians, Germans, Russians, and Japanese.
