I too had a TBI on the 4th march 2009 and could not walk or talk as elequently as before and have to now live with hemi-parasis and can no longer write. These are only the major effects of TBI i have to live with but with the grace of god everything else almost healed. We have to realise that we are extreamely lucky that a higher power healed us through his compassion and mercy and must seek out the truth. We did only did heal because of our spirtualness.

I really wish people would keep their negative thoughts to themselves. There is nothing wrong with thanking a higher power if that's what this person feels helped them through. I'm sure the family are equally thankful to the doctors. Negativity does more to harm people and their recovery so please don't add to the burden of this young man or his family by venting your frustrations here. Don't you have something better to do?

I have a masters degree in Emergency Medicine. I hold 3 degrees. Science is an amazing and wonderful thing... It has done so much for us, and has truly helped this boy. However, I have seen miracles... Things only a greater power can do. God is with us, and I hope he touches you too someday.

1) Don't you see how insulting this is to the families of people who don't recover from injuries or illness? According to him, God valued him just a little more than other people2) They push their religion on me every chance they get! It's not like if we leave them alone, they will leave us alone. Take out your wallet and look at your money for crying out loud!

Ugh, who cares who this person thanks? I'm an atheist too but I don't go around belittling people and their faith. Pick your battles.

Doctors and nurses combined with advancements in SCIENCE saved his life. It had NOTHING to do with any super human being that anyone thinks may or may not exist. It is funny he is thanking god when it was actually science and technology. The irony.

I'm really happy that you got a second chance and I hope you make the best of it. But don't you ever wonder about people who got hurt and didn't make it? Did god just care less about those people? Every time I hear someone thanking god for surviving crashes and injuries, I wonder how they can think that god saved them, but obviously didn't feel like saving the others. If god does exist and he did save you, then I think he's pretty mean for not saving other people as well.

What is a snow boarding "accident"? I'm glad you are alright, but instead of thanking people for their prayers, you should be thanking the doctors for saving your life and then discouraging people from doing things like snow boarding. These "sports" cause so much human suffering every single year and I really wish people would do things that weren't so dangerous. You can still have fun without putting yourself at such risk of injury. Good luck with school and remember to thank the drs not god.
