Why does he look so ugly now. Nobody will believe that he was once the most beautiful boy on earth

I'm not going to say who but I think one guy in here might be a bit of a pedophile. For god sakes I hope you're a 15 year old girl because if not you're going to end up on a register...

I could not agree more! It's shocking that Visconti was still searching for Tadzio, even after Bjorn's audition, because he was fixating on 12-year olds! Thank God he changed his mind about the potential Tadzio's height and age. Bjorn was, according to Visconti, a tad bit too tall...Bjorn's great beauty and budding sensuality made Mr. V. come to his senses!

I love this song and I think it fits Tadzio well. The novella is wonderful. Visconti had to bring it to life, and that may be the reason he directed Bjorn as more flirtatious, which brings a little fire onto the screen. In the film Bogarde shows a considerable restraint, while Bjorn shows curiosity that leads to possibilites.

Bogarde's performance was very mannered and unconvincing.Visconti made Tadzio much too flirtatious. He's not at all like that in Mann's novella. He cheapens it. Also, the flashbacks he introduced were very clumsy and ineffective. What an appalling soundtrack on this posting! What bland, cloying music.Bjorn Andresen is much more beautiful than the real Tadzio--Wladylaw Moes. Wonderful casting, but terrible movie.I have read that the movie ruined Bjorn Andresen's life.

Oh, he is very old, but I really dont know! I saw a picture of him a few years ago, he looks so diferent ...and his hair is darker, but has still the same smile. I saw another pic when he was like 25...he was...hot ...but still cute...

Visconti was a brilliant judge of beauty. He couldn't have chosen a better actor for the part: he was the perfect mix of a platonic, angelic, androgynous ideal, and a slant of budding and naughty sensuality.

Yeah!!!!!! i imagined Armand like a boy like him. I don't know why the director put that Antonio banderas for armand's character. That's terrible. Yeah! yes yes yes, this boy is Armand
