thanks for that meaningless sob story that in no way helps anything. i dont see you posting on videos about starving children and considerably more of them die each day than in 9/11 ...nice to know some people have the world in such a perspective.

Haven't been able to listen to this beautiful piece for years, it just happened to be playing on my stereo when I heard and watched the news of September 11. All I could think of were all those lives, just doing their normal day to day thing, changed forever, and their families :( ..

I started out very shallow in the ways of Music and now I think I have matured music wise greatly I can listen to anything from Slayer to The Beatles to Bach.

No, we know why it's called that; follow the FAQ link to the Wikipedia entry.

No...we don't know why it's called that. On modern instruments it's nearly impossibly difficult to play on the g string- in Baroque times, with shorter fingerboards, it would have been impossible to play all on the g-string. It's not in the key of G either. The name is a mystery.

Bravo! for showing the music sheet as read, Wonderful. I confess not to be able to read sheet music but to see it as the harmony plays is wonderful. Thank you
