I love it, she's really enjoying what she's doing you can tell in her movement, and that she has a good personality. Love horses that show it through their work, my hats off to the mare, she did wonderful.

to be honest, the mares bend throughout the entire thing was completely free and reaching. The entire time, she and her rider were connected; there was no tension or fighting there. If she was fighting him at all, you would have seen it through her movements.

I have seen many horses (and owned one) who are "expressive" with their tails, and it is not always indicative of tension or stiffness in the back or resistance. The fluidity and spring in this mare's movements, and especially the expression on her face and her relaxed ears show happiness. At the end, when he salutes, the mare suddenly notices the crowd, her head comes up, and there is tension. But before that, total submission and happiness.

@ify741 What chrissluvhorsey said is supported by the fact that there are changes coming from FEI that addresses exactly that issue. A recent study measured horses' reactions to it and concluded that rolkur was an unhealthy training method. The judging issue, if you have been following the news, has also been addressed as there has been too much favoritism.

because international judging is biased. because the judge's dont know the difference btwn proper self-carriage and a forced frame. tension shows in many different ways- broomstick tail, excessive tail swishing, excessive drool, and bucking, etc. you see most of these symptoms in 9 out of 10 top competiton horses. rollkur causes permanent damage to the neck and poll and should NEVER be used. idc how well trained u r, its a cheap training method that should never have gotten this far

if her methods don't work then how does she WIN!?If the horse that has rolkur being used on him was tense it wouldn't be able to WIN and perform like this so obviously there is no tension in these horses!
