No apology needed, just thought it was obvious, give my regards to Rio de Janiero, Santos and Rio Grande do Sol, went to these places some 35 years ago whilst sailing with the Blue Star line carrying beef to Europe.

@Allstate38- All the things you mentioned are still here, great music, concerts, and movies. They're just harder to find (hint: stay away from the mainstream). I get your point about how everything now is rules and regulations but you have to remember that the 60s were still a white man's time in the US. The leash may have been longer but it was tighter and shorter on others. I have also been told about how it used to be back then and not all of it was great.

Thank you for the kind words, but even when it was going on, we didn't know it. It's only after that you compare or contrast. The most important thing is this: the ideas, music and Magic are still here IF you have the eye/ear for it! talk to your teachers/parents or do your own investigation by films, magazines, records, books, etc. Believe me, if you read Kerouac, Vonnegut, Leary, Sagan, Mad Magazine, Life magazine, Howard Zinn, etc, listen to early Dylan, the Beatles, you'll get it ;)

You have no idea how much I love this movie... 'If you ever get lonely, you just go to the record store and visit your friends'-That sentence got me through a lot. Damn,I wish I could go back to the 70s!
