In all honesty, all of these conspiracies are stupid. The government didn't create AIDS, Global Warming or 9/11. The US Government wishes they could do that. But they don't even have the abilities to do everything they're blamed for. And honestly, with a President like George W. Bush the government DEFINITELY wasn't capable of doing something like this. machfron, it really is sad that a 14 year old has more sense than you.

The dumb question I have is that let's even say the passengers successfully took over the plane from the hijackers, how would they have managed to land the it?

poorly made movie, with the exception for some pretty stunning acting - but I will always honor the actual people that died in that event. rest in peace

Good thing that Stony Creek Township in Pennsylvania was a densely metropolis of 2,221 as of the 2000 census poll. And besides, this was 2001, where cell phones aren't nearly as sophisticated as today. Coverage wasn't as good as it is now.

"I have personally used a cell phone on a plane, and I have flown next to people who have used their cell phones, particularly when they are over a populated area or flying at a lower altitude."Thats from Microsofts website.Type:flying with cell phones: 5 mythsinto google and it's the first site.So although it is banned to use a cell on a commercial airline it is definitely not impossible.

I'm pretty sure that a company whose plane you're flying would enable communication with your aircraft. Cell phones don't work because companies send their signals along the ground (you know, where 99.99% of the current population is at any given time), and they block the signal from shooting straight up into the sky where it isn't needed. And I fly planes on a damn regular basis, and my cell phone has never worked. No matter what airline or carrier.

Actually I fly a Cessna Mustang for a private company. I often call the company on a cell phone (mobile phone in Aus) and my current altitude record for a phone call is 25,000 feet. Although I usually lose signal at about 10,000 to 15,000 feet. And seeing as though flight 93 was flying 12,000 feet. It's no surprise they had signal. And on-board phones were developed in the 80's.Sorry to burst your bubble, but I'm sure you'll find another conspiracy to make you sound smart.
