assuming the brain needs to be plastic and allow blood flow and convert from fluid to gel many times and most of the body is water anyway unless it's reinforced with structural proteins or bone this isn't that far apart.

Most people say that they are pretty safe. They do not use ionizing radiation, such as x-rays used in CT scans or typical x-ray machines. They usually cost you or your insurance company $3000-$5000 per scan though.
