hey man thanks alot. as i said, im getting new front rotors, patch work on the floors, and new front tie rods on it right now, but ill check into the seals. i hope its not the rings..but im loving the camaro. feels good when you do the work yourself, right? they truely are great cars. sure its not as fast as a 350, or as nice as a bmw, but it runs, it drives, they rumble, and look cool, and can peel out. i appreciate my car more than people appreciate there expensive sports cars. keep us updated

Thanks man! Alot of people do try to keep these things stock, and others just buy the same stuff from hawks thirdgen, resulting in a bunch of customs, that are all the same... My end goal is a custom look, that no one has done to one of these. Besides, it's not like it's a vette or anything, as is blue book on this model is about $1000... lol

There's a few things it could be. If it's smoking all the time, even at idle, or easy acceleration, my first guess would be the rings. If it's only doing it at startup, or after you've let it idle for a while, then the smoke goes away, it's the valve seals. The seals are about $30 for a whole set. Get the umbrella type, and use only intake valve seals, even on the exhaust valves. They seal better, and last longer. If it's the rings, well, it's going to be expensive and alot of work...

nice car, i like all the work youve done, but cars like this are meant to stay original, but to each his own, im trying to keep my '90 RS as original as possible, just wish mine still had the headliner in it after seeing yours, lol

Yeap. All stock. I wanted to bring it up to factory condition before I started upgrading things. All in all I might have around $2000 invested in it. Thats $600 to buy it, and the rest in parts, not including the audio. I bought another one for $150 (6 cyl) to use for body parts and interior. They're pretty cheap if you take your time finding parts and do the work yourself. I'm about to put in a new 305, as the one in it has 211,000 miles...

Hey thanks man! As you can see below, mixed feedback on the scoops... I think they will look alot better when I get the mesh in them. I do like your point of view though, "it's what the driver likes" and I agree. Main thing I want to see is if I can feel a difference when I open them up... I'm hoping it will improve the highway mileage a little bit. Thanks for watching and subscribing! I'm off to check out some of your vids now!

Yes it is. As for the top, it's simple to do. Get an old cardboard box, and a pair of scissors, and trim away until the cardboard fits like you want it to. Now you have a template. trace that onto a piece of MDF and cut it out. For the bottom of the box, the main concern is getting the right cubic footage for your speaker(s). Pretty much try several dimensions until you find the one that fits the car, and the sub(s). Mine is 2.5 cubic feet.

well if I was going to get a ram-air I would have the scoops longer and wider, like the hood off of the WS6 Trans-am. I found a site somewhere that had that kind of hood and it looked great.

Yea I'm getting mixed feedback on the scoops. What do you think they would need? To be more round maybe? I'm not going to cut the hood until I'm satisfied with them, so if I decide to back out, I still have the option. The plan is to make some tunnels on the underside of the hood, out of ABS after I cut the bottoms out, to actually make them functional.
