This hack is way outdated...Now, you can go online to Dealextreme and buy a "People's Cree" or a "Handy Cree" for $10.00 and get a real, high-powered LED flashlight that's aluminum, uses 3 cheap AAA batteries (I use NiMH rechargeables) and will blow this one away. The light they put out is so bright, it looks like a big, fat laser beam.

Go look it up in a dictionary.THIS HACK SUCKS! IT DOES NOT WORK. The Bulb (LAMP) will burn out VERY fast because its only rated for 6-volts. Look it up on radioshack. They DO NOT have a 9-volt bulb. Ok, so for those of you confused by the idiots that post here, this is the scoop. This hack DOES indeed work, and it's ridiculously bright. You have to buy EXACTLY the parts he tells you to. However, I use mine in airsoft skirmishes every week and yes, the batteries and bulb last just fine, but I have come across the only problem- the bulb puts out too much heat and it melted the reflector and plastic lens. I am currently trying to find a fix for that. Any suggestions, kipkay?

Did you look up the bulb? There is NO SUCH THING as a 9-volt bulb. The batteries are too powerful for the type of bulb this guy tells you to use.Look it up - this 9 or 10 year old kid goes out and buys these expensive lithium batteries and uses it in the flashtlight. The bulbs work for a VERY short while and the bulb blows. Everyone else in the forums and comment section says that the bulb blows out extremely fast because there is too much voltage to the bulb! LOOK UP THE ITEMS AT RADIO SHACK!

He TOLD you what type of bulb to buy from radio shack. Look it up, its a 6 (SIX) VOLT BULB. The batteries themselves add up to 9 volts. So it overloads the light bulb by 3 volts and thats why its so bright... SO DONT CALL ME A FUCKING MORON when you cant even look up the facts for yourself.Google $10 police flashlight hack.
